Our experience in the management of transport and logistics for the steel industry dates back to 1979, the year marking the incorporation of Zaninoni IFA S.p.A.

Since then we have developed the skills and expertise of our team and our infrastructure so as to respond to the specific demands of this industry.

  • Packaging and handling techniques that guarantee the integrity of the goods and the safety of operators despite the considerable variations in terms of weight and dimensions.

  • Multimodal logistics solutions combining land transportation (road and rail) and sea transportation and detailed planning to guarantee the required delivery times.

  • Our range of value or cutting/bevelling services, extend the standard traditional logistics and shipping services.

  • Management of insurance cover, valuations and value estimates of goods and customs clearance, as well as support when drawing up customs documents (anti-dumping duties, safeguard duties, radiometric controls, etc.)

  • CBAM Support (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) related to imports to the EU Member States of carbon-intensive goods made in  non-EU countries.

The products we manage

From raw materials through to the finished product

We manage domestic and international transportation of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, including cross-trading procedures.

  • Shipment of raw materials by cargo vessels, freight trains or trucks , depending on the distance and availability of infrastructures.

  • Shipment of steel products such as steel bars, sheets, tubes and profiles.

  • Shipment of coated metals (e.g. galvanised steel), using lifting bars with flat hooks and clamps together with appropriate packaging material.

  • road transportation, including exceptional transportation;

  • combined rail and road transportation;

  • sea transportation (container, break-bulk e Ro-Ro);

  • loading and unloading of freight on/from trucks, river barges and break-bulk vessels;

  • loading and unloading of containers at the port terminals and our warehouses.
